AC/DC Want To Reunite Powderfinger, Silverchair, According To Anonymous Source

AC/DC have commenced their epic worldwide Rock or Bust Tour recently, kicking things off in Germany before making their way down under for stadium gigs this November and the rumour mill is awhirl on who will support their Aussie dates, with an anonymous Triple M source dropping a fairly epic claim.

Talking on the Grill Team show earlier today, the unnamed Acca Dacca sleuth, who goes by the moniker Supergrass, hinted that the Aussie legends of rock are offering juicy sums of money in order to tempt either Powderfinger, Silverchair or Jet to reunite and join them on the tour.

“Apparently they’ve approached Powderfinger, Silverchair and Jet with a mountain of cash to do this, and they actually believe they’re a real chance of pulling it off”, says old mate Supergrass, noting that the hope they can score such an amazing support act as the reason behind the recent announcement of second shows at several cities.

The Chair, The Finger and The…uhh… Jet, all called it quits around 2010, with various members such as Silverchair’s Daniel Johns and Powderfinger’s Bernard Fanning having their own shit going on at the moment, so let’s all just take this with a grain of the proverbial.

UPDATE 13/05/15: Oh boy. Jet have just fuelled the old rumour mill, with an un-characteristic and rare Facebook post. The band posted the cryptic message “Rumours??” along with a link to the Triple M story. Here’s hoping it’s a hint towards something big.
