Babyshambles Cancel Splendour In The Grass Sideshows After Immigration Advice

Splendour in the Grass organisers have announced that all Babyshambles Splendour sideshows have been cancelled after advice from immigration solicitors. Though the band is remaining loyal to their Splendour commitments, this will be their one and only performance while they are Down Under.

The band had stop offs planned for Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth; refunds are now available for all shows. News about the cancellation started circulating last night after listings for the Adelaide and Perth gigs were pulled from ticket sales websites. Tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne events are still listed as for sale. Organisers state that the decision was made due to “various considerations”, including the immigration concerns.

To make up for the cancelled shows, the band has promised Aussie fans that we will be some of the first to experience their brand new material live. Babyshambles members left a brief message for fans, stating, “While we’re disappointed the tour hasn’t worked out this time, we’re very excited about playing our new songs at Splendour In The Grass and we’re hoping to reschedule the other shows for some time in the not too distant future.”

Babyshambles will be releasing their highly anticipated third studio album Sequel To The Prequel on Friday, 30th August.
