Ball Park Music Postpone Queensland Show Due To Severe Weather

Ball Park Music have been forced to cancel tonight’s show on the Sunshine Coast because of Queensland’s current dangerous weather conditions.

“We’re sure you will all understand that with the dangerous weather conditions currently being experienced in QLD the decision to postpone the show is in everyone’s best interests,” wrote the band in a statement.

Whilst the event is an indoor one, promoters say the concerns were for those who may have to travel through severe weather to get to the venue.

The show alongside guests Jeremy Neale and Tongue Tied Thieves was due to take place at Lake Kawana tonight but instead has been postponed until until Saturday March 28th. Tickets for tonight’s postponed show will be valid for the new date.

While Cyclone Marcia has been downgraded to a category 1 cyclone, a Severe Thunderstorm warning is currently in place for parts of South East Queensland, including Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Jeremy Neale had some advice for punters to help dispel the storm. “If everybody could aim their guitars towards the heavens and solo harder than ever before, we may be able to appease the Gods Of Metal and avoid Armageddon.”
