Californian slackers Best Coast will be delivering even more sunshine-soaked indie-rock to Australia this July with a pair of Splendour In The Grass 2015 sideshows, which have just been announced.
The duo of vocalist Bethany Cosentino and guitarist Bobb Bruno will play two headline shows at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Sunday 26th July and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Tuesday 28th July, unleashing songs from their third LP California Nights which will be released next month.
Best Coast have made a name for themselves through fuzzed-out tracks with lyrics about boys, cats and weed. It’s an aesthetic that will sound glorious in the Byron Bay sunshine when they take to the Splendour stage on the Saturday of the festival while their sideshows will help us cling onto summer in the midst of winter.
Their last appearance in Australia was during the summer of 2013 when they played Falls and Southbound festivals off the back of their second album The Only Place. Tickets go on sale 9am, Monday 27th April. Details below.
