Bodyjar Announce New Album ‘Role Model’, Unveil New Video ‘Fairytales’

OGs of the Australian punk rock scene Bodyjar were clearly as stoked on last year’s reunion tour as fans were, as the band have now announced they will be releasing their first album in 8 years, Role Model.

Given that the band were “officially” on hiatus as of 2009, all this was done under a veil of mystery, though all you need to know is this monster will be unleashed on Friday, 18th October.

Getting straight to business, the Melbourne outfit have already unveiled the first track from the record Fairytales. The track has already undergone the full video clip service, which you can check out below, and it’s also available as a free download.

The last studio album from the band landed in 2005 as a self-titled effort and was the latest in a line of releases that found condiserable traction both here and abroad, with the band picking up spots on Vans Warped Tour and Big Day Out. 2009 saw the band announce they’d be taking a breather.

Following the successful reunion tour of 2012 and a run of shows in supports of Descendents, it sounds like Bodyjar are back and fighting fit.
