Bookies Are Already Taking Bets For Triple J’s Hottest 100 Of 2015

While it may feel like the dust from the #Tay4Hottest100 media hype controversy has only just settled, it’s now time to cast our attention to the next Hottest 100 countdown as early betting odds are already in for the song pipped to take the top spot for 2015.

Things, as always, are looking good for male artists so far with Do You Remember, the debut single from soulful Brisbane muso Jarryd James and Major Lazer‘s Lean On emerging as early clear favourites with the shortest odds.

They’re trailed by Kendrick Lamar’s King Kunta, Anchor by Birds Of Tokyo and RUFUS’ comeback single You Were Right.

Early odds suggest Jarryd James might even pull a Chet Faker come countdown time, given that his recent single Give Me Something is also a strong contender for a top 10 spot, as is Jamie xx’s Loud Places feat, Romy, Carmada’s On Fire feat. Maribelle, Tkay Maizda’s M.O.B. plus songs by Peking Duk, Flume, Florence + The Machine, Courtney Barnett, Eves The Behavior and Tame Impala.

With voting in the Hottest 100 of 2015 still about five months away, it’s of course too early to call anything but it’s always a good idea to keep an eye out for the front runners. See the songs with the shortest odds so far, via SportsBet, below.

The Hottest 100 of 2014 countdown was won by Chet Faker who has nabbed the coveted top spot with Talk Is Cheap.
