Earlier this month, Briggs dropped his highly anticipated new single ‘Life Is Incredible’. Now, he’s given us the visual for the track and it’s, well, incredible.
In case you haven’t heard the song, Briggs wrote it about the the disparity between the mortality rate of Indigenous Australians and white Australians.
The video plays on this idea, by setting it in ‘Whitehaven’ retirement home and having Briggs, who is 32-years-old, admitted there.
In a statement, Briggs revealed that making this mix of important social commentary and satire was a new interesting way for him to shed light on the heavy issue of Indigenous life expectancy.
“Indigenous life expectancy is a heavy and complicated issue, so I wanted to bring attention to it in a new, interesting way that is just 3mins,” he said.
“I’ve always been a fan of the horror genre and it lends perfectly for this.”
