Bring Me The Horizon Cancel The Rest Of Their Australian Tour

UPDATE 27/09/16: Bring Me The Horizon have rescheduled their Melbourne and Adelaide dates for February next year.

UPDATE 22/09/16: Support band Architects are now planning their own Aussie headlining tour for early 2017.

ORIGINAL STORY: Bring Me The Horizon have announced that due to ongoing illness that the remaining two Melbourne dates on their 2016 Australian tour have been cancelled. The shows were meant to take place tonight and tomorrow night, 22nd and 23rd September.

Bring Me The Horizon had hoped that frontman Oli Sykes would have been able to recover from his viral throat infection following the cancellation of their Adelaide show mid-week, telling fans their two Melbourne shows would go ahead. Since then, Sykes has since been advised by doctors that he has acute laryngitis and must rest immediately.

In a statement, Bring Me The Horizon say they intend to return to Australia in 2017 to make up for the cancelled dates in Adelaide and Melbourne. The band managed to play shows in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney during their current tour.

Ticket-holders should retain their tickets awaiting further details of how they can be used to attend the band’s 2017 shows, or alternately refunds can be gained from point of purchase.
