Britney Spears Fans Pay $2,500 For 3-Second Meet & Greet

Britney Spears might want to take a page out of the Vans Warped Tour book if she wants to keep some of her most ardent fans, a group of whom were recently left soured after the pop queen allegedly spent just three seconds with them at a meet-and-greet which cost them $2,500 each.

As RadarOnline reports, several of Ms Spears’ most passionate fans forked out thousands to meet the singer backstage at her much-publicised Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, but were assigned a three-second window to take a photo before being hurried away.

“Fans were told [beforehand]…that they were not to hug or touch Britney without her permission and they weren’t allowed to bring her any gifts,” said a source. “And then once they finally got to meet her it was like smile, take a photo, goodbye. Each person literally got like three seconds with her.”

“Fans were anticipating a flashy meet-and-greet with Britney but instead it was just awkward and uncomfortable. She barely spoke. She just smiled and nodded and said ‘thank-you’ a lot,” the source added. Spears has also raised the ire some for apparently lip-syncing throughout most of her Las Vegas performances — as noted by the LA Times — even through songs featuring AutoTune.
