Childish Gambino Creating And Starring In New Music-Based Comedy Show

The biggest triple threat to be produced by Gen Y, Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) has announced that he will be creating and starring in a new comedy series based on the vibrant live music scene of his home town, Atlanta.

Rolling Stone reports that FX have picked up the show. Though several networks pitched for the show, Glover decided on FX, as the company is willing to accommodate his touring duties as Gambino.

It’s unsure how this news will go down with his Community fanbase, given many of them are still seeing red due to the fact Troy Barnes’ role in the show will be significantly reduced in the coming season. Originally, it was said that Glover would be stepping back from all duties that steal focus from his musical alter ego.

It’s not yet known when the show will air, or whether or not the trailer he released last week (below) has anything to do with it, but surely all will be revealed soon.
