Cloud Control Are Back With New Single ‘Dojo Rising’

Cloud Control are back, dropping Dojo Rising, the first single from the follow-up to 2011’s Australian Music Prize-winning album Bliss Release. Their sophomore effort Dream Cave is due out in August and if this taste is anything to go by, we’re in for a moody masterpiece.

The London-via-Blue-Mountains outfit are obviously getting a bit more electronic these days. The emotive Dojo Rising appears to be an to ode to failed love, opening with the lyrics “I could beat myself down/You don’t need to bother”. Don’t let that put you off, though – there’s something uplifting and a bit ethereal about the track and we’re very much looking forward to hearing more new stuff from the quartet.

Cloud Control are fresh off the back of a sold-out performance at the Joan Sutherland Theatre for Vivid LIVE and are playing another sold out show at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne this Friday night. Dream Cave is released in Australia on 19th August via Ivy League.
