Cloud Nothings Announce New Album ‘Life Without Sound’, Share First Single ‘Modern Act’

Cloud Nothings have come good on their word of a new album. After saying last month that the record will drop this year, the band have now announced that Life Without Sound will actually arrive on Friday, 27th January 2017.

What’s more, the band have celebrated the news in the most appropriate way, by releasing the first single off the album, dubbed Modern Act. When they began to tease the record, the band mentioned a “vocal-heavy” release, which seems to add up with Modern Act. Though powered by chirpy guitars and sustained across an airy beat, the song is all about the chops. Singer and guitarist Dylan Baldi is telling you a story, so y’all best listen.

Life Without Sound will be the first new batch of material from the group since Here and Nowhere Else, which dropped in 2014, and their more recent collaboration with WAVVES, No Life For Me.

Cloud Nothings have announced a run of international tour dates, but no new Australian shows just yet.

Give Modern Act a listen, below.
