Come Together Festival 2015 Lineup Expands

Sarah Connor and Polish Club have been announced as the two winners of the triple j Unearthed competition to play Sydney’s Come Together festival this June.

The two newcomers will join an already impressive lineup which features the likes of Ball Park Music, Seth Sentry, Remi and SAFIA.

Sydney MC Sarah Connor will join the festival’s Saturday hip-hop lineup. She’s a socially-charged spit-fire rapper who’s found popularity on Unearthed rapping over organic beats.

“I developed my sound from a lot of overseas and Australian influences but rap is an art that you have to be able to pull off yourself and is therefore organic to yourself,” she told triple j of her sound.

Sydney duo Polish Club will join the indie Sunday lineup with their brand of scuzzy, garage rock n’ roll. Though their sound may suggest otherwise, their influences range from Otis Redding to Mariah Carey, culminating in music similar to The White Stripes.

As for what to expect from their show they told triple j, “Two blokes playing as hard as they can. One sweating a lot more than the other.”

Come Together returns this year after the 2014 iteration of the festival was cancelled less than two weeks out, due to poor ticket sales. It is set to take place at Luna Park on 6th and 7th June. Check out the full lineup below.
