Download Festival Australia Adds New Act To 2019 Lineup

Download Festival Australia have today announced another act joining them next March in Sydney and Melbourne.

Sydney five-piece Polaris have joined the bill and will be bringing tracks from their debut album The Mortal Coil to Australian Download Festival stages in 2019.

Festival organisers have also confirmed the full second lineup announcement will be dropping on Wednesday 14th November with 12 more acts to be announced for the one day festival.

Download Festival 2018 was the first on Aussie shores and had one date in Melbourne, they’ve expanded this year; taking place at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne again but with an extra date at Sydney’s Parramatta Park.

The 2019 lineup differs a fair amount from its 2018 pal, swapping some of those hyped Australian hardcore acts in for throwback rock ‘n’ roll. No doubt local punters will be stoked by the addition of these Sydney metalcore stars who are fresh off the back of two sold-out Aussie headlining tours.
