Download Festival UK Announces First Headliner For 2018

Download Festival UK has announced its first headline act for 2018, and it’s none other than rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.

The festival will head to Australia next year and while they’re yet to give us the lineup, the British bill has officially started taking shape.

In February of this year, Osbourne’s band Black Sabbath played their final show after a farewell tour.

Osbourne is back in solo mode and has played a handful of solo shows this year including most recently at Ozzfest in California over the weekend. His set features a selection of solo work plus a few Black Sabbath tracks too.

Download Festival will expand to Australia in March next year. Music Feeds understands that Korn, Limp Bizkit, Prophets Of Rage and NOFX will play the festival.

While this announcement from the UK is not a sign that Ozzy will be heading to Australia for the first-ever Download Festival Australia, it’s a taste of the kind of acts Download organisers have their eyes on right now.

The full Australian lineup will be revealed at 9am AEDT, this Thursday 9th November.
