Fiona Apple Arrested And Charged For Drug Possession

Californian songstress Fiona Apple was arrested last night for possession of hash, as reported by TMZ. The drugs were discovered by police on a routine border inspection as her tour bus was crossing over the border into Sierra Blanca, Texas. According to TMZ, police found a container with .01 pounds of weed and .01 pounds of hash, which she “freely admitted” as hers. She was released on a $10,000 bond.

The checkpoint of Sierra Blanca isn’t new to claiming the scalps of unknowing musicians who like to enjoy a little recreational use of drugs, with Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson both previously getting caught out on the border line. Both of them ended up collaborating on a track dedicated to marijuana, titled Roll Me Up.

Apple released her latest effort (deep breath) The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do back in June. The album marked her return to the musical spotlight after a large gap between her last one Extraordinary Machine, way back in 2005.
