Flight of the Conchords Australian Tour 2012 Announced

The Flight of the Conchords highly anticipated Australian tour has finally been announced. With the parody-folk duo playing their home country of New Zealand in June, it was almost a given that the Australian dates were not too far off.

They’ll be playing in most capital cities, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, as well as stopping off in Wollongong and Newcastle. You’ll have to be quick as their New Zealand tour sold out in minutes. But luckily more shows were eventually added.

With a career spanning almost fifteen years, which includes their cult TV show of the same name, they’ve been known to perform using multiple instruments, such as ukuleles, toy piano, keytar, synth and a ‘1987 Casio DG-20 Casio electric guitar set to mandolin’ to create some of the most bizarrely wonderful crowd singalongs from the show.

There have also been recent rumours of a Flight of the Conchords movie after comedian Rhys Darby, who plays Murray in the show, dropped a hint that they would all be up for a big screen debut, they just need to put the pen to paper and write a story.

Tickets go on sale to the general public from 9am local time on Tuesday 17th April.

Frontier Members pre-sale is at 4pm AEST Thursday 12th April to 4pm AEST Friday 13th April
