Here Are The Funniest Anti-Lockout Banners From The Second Keep Sydney Open Rally

Written by Emmy Mack on October 9, 2016

Thousands of lockout law loathers hit the streets of Sydney today to protest the nightlife-killing laws for the second time this year, and once again, the city’s creative genius was on full display.

Even though plenty of big names attended today’s Keep Sydney Open rally – including Urthboy, Hayley Mary from The Jezebels and even Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes – the true stars of the day were the countless witty and LOLtastic hand-crafted signs, banners and placards that were being waved en masse by the people of Sydney.

Ranging from the masterfully artistic to the intentionally shit, the signs all drove home one single, unified message: that the people of Sydney are jack of NSW Premiere “Casino” Mike Baird and his Liberal party’s lockout laws and they need to GTFO ASAP.

We’ve assembled some snaps of the most clever and hilarious signs from today’s rally, some of which hit home so hard that we could only laugh to keep from crying.

Have a gander below.
