George Michael’s Initial Autopsy Was Inconclusive

More tests will be needed to determine the cause of George Michael‘s death after an initial autopsy came back inconclusive.

The legendary popstar died on Christmas Day at age 53, found by his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, “dead peacefully in bed.”

His manager said that the cause of death was heart failure, however, it sounds like it will be a little longer before we have a conclusive cause of death.

“A post mortem examination was carried out yesterday as part of the investigation into the death of George Michael,” Thames Valley Police said (via ABC).

“The cause of death is inconclusive and further tests will now be carried out. The results of these tests are unlikely to be known for several weeks.”

Despite this, British police maintain that the death is not “suspicious”.

Tributes by Michael’s peers have flooded in over the past few days with Elton John delivering a stirring tribute in Vegas and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin covering him at a homeless shelter.
