Green Day Announce New Album ‘Revolution Radio’, Drop New Single ‘Bang Bang’

Pop-punk legends Green Day have announced their new Revolution Radio will be released this October, and have shared a first taste of the record (their twelfth studio album) in the form of frantic new single Bang Bang.

The band’s first proper single in four years since the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! album trilogy, Bang Bang (below) comes after Green Day shared a Christmas single late last year. It’s also a bit of a throwback tune, lending itself to the band’s early sound.

Green Day have also taken to Facebook to speak about Revolution Radio, live from their studio.

“We’re really proud to start launching a new era,” says frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. “[Revolution Radio] is jam-packed with a lot of good stuff.

“The record is very lush, with cool production and lots of big fat guitar and drums and bass, and also a lot of energy, but not contrived — it’s very real. We feel super-refreshed.”

Revolution Radio is set for release on 7th October.
