Groovin The Moo Maitland To Go Ahead, Despite Weather

The recent torrential rain, raging storms and flooding in NSW won’t stop Groovin The Moo, according to organisers, who have today issued a statement confirming the sold-out Maitland leg of the regional festival will go ahead next weekend.

Maitland has already suffered flooding and damage due to the storms with forecasts predicting more wild weather to come, but organisers have affirmed the festival will continue with some revised planning to the site.

“We are working closely with our stakeholders to revise planning in those areas of the event that have been affected by weather,” reads the statement. “At this stage, those areas are minimal. Stay connected to our facebook page for any updated event messages and perhaps invest in some gumboots.”

Groovin the Moo kicked off last weekend in Oakbank and Bunbury, with sets from the likes of Peaches, Wolfmother, You Me At Six, San Cisco and Hilltop Hoods. It will travel to Bendigo and Canberra this weekend before heading to Maitland and Townsville next week.
