Guns N’ Roses Detained At Canadian Border For Carrying An Actual Gun

Guns N’ Roses have lived up to their name, after being caught trying to cross the Canadian border with an actual gun.

As Babbermouth reports, the band were detained by customs officials on Friday, July 15th for attempting to bring the firearm into Maple Country.

However, the gun apparently didn’t belong to any member of GNR themselves.

Frontman Axl Rose shed some more light on the whole encounter while performing in front of a sold-out crowd of 50,000 people at Toronto’s Rogers Centre Saturday night, as part of the band’s Not In This Lifetime reunion tour.

Just before launching into Out Ta Get Me, he told the crowd: “You did what? What? ‘Oh, yeah, we found a gun.’ So we weren’t exactly arrested, we were detained.

“[The customs officers] were very nice. They were very nice,” Rose continued. “They were very understanding. You know, it happens — you can forget you had a fuckin’ gun. Wasn’t my gun.”

Meanwhile, there’s a rumour going around that the semi-reformed classic Gunners lineup – featuring at the very least Slash, Duff and Axl – are set to tour Australia in January of 2017.
