Guns N’ Roses Next Album Almost Complete, Expected Out In 2014

It appears Axl Rose fans won’t have to wait almost 20 years for the next Guns N’Rose album, with the follow-up to 2008s Chinese Democracy pencilled in for a 2014 release.

News of what will be Guns N’ Roses’ sixth studio album, of original material, came from Gunners’ guitarist Richard Fortus. Fortus apparently told Noise 11 that the band has been slaving away in the studio, with many new tracks completed.

As there’s no direct quote from Ol’ Dickie Forto, we can’t specify how many songs have been finished or how many tracks he expects to appear on the currently untitled new album, but the guitarist, who did play on Chinese Democracy, did indicate the record may be released next year.

That’s hopeful news for Guns N’ Roses fans who waited 17 years between 1991’s Use Your Illusion I & II and 2008’s Chinese Democracy. Considering that Chinese Democracy reportedly cost US$13 million to make, Guns N’ Roses might want to consider opening up a Kickstarter campaign for their next album.
