Hear The First Song From Florence + The Machine’s New Album

Florence + The Machine have given the general public its first taste of their still officially untitled third studio album, with a cinematic music video for the luscious and heavily orchestrated track How Big How Blue How Beautiful.

Directed by Tabitha Denholm and Vincent Haycock, the How Big How Blue How Beautiful video (below) is a choreographed and super cinematic representation of the short track’s slow-moving and slow-building instrumentation. Florence Welch’s typically earthy vocals hover over the top, repeating the song’s title.

Florence + The Machine held a listening session in London this week, giving friends and industry peeps the chance to hear their forthcoming album before anyone else.

A broken banner advertisement for the new album has also been prematurely posted on iTunes, including the title of forthcoming single What Kind Of Man, and new artwork. The album will serve as a follow-up to 2011’s Ceremonials, and is still without an official release date.
