Hear Vance Joy’s New Song ‘Great Summer’

Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy has a new song out in the wild, but it’s not from the highly-anticipated follow-up to his debut album Dream Your Life Away. The track, Great Summer, is actually from the soundtrack of the novel-turned-film, Paper Towns.

Great Summer, which can be stream in full below, sees Vance Joy (real name James Keogh) pair some perky piano work with a chorus of backing vocals.

The track is more expansive than Keogh’s acoustic ballads, and kicks the summer vibes right in the guts with the line, “I hope you had a great summer / A great summer away.”

The Paper Towns soundtrack is also set to include new tracks from American singer Santigold and indie-rock band Grouplove. The soundtrack will be released on 10th July, with the film released in Australia on 16th July.

Vance Joy will support the Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s The 1989 World Tour this November and December. Hear Great Summer in full, below.
