Here’s When Paul McCartney Will Announce His First Aussie Tour In Almost 25 Years

UPDATE: It’s official! Sir Paul McCartney has officially announced his first Australian tour dates in almost 25 years.

ORIGINAL STORY: He may have repeatedly avoided Australia for the past quarter decade, but it has now been confirmed that Paul McCartney is set to announce his first Australian tour since 1993 later this week.

Reports recently suggested that Sir Paul was set to head down under this November, and now touring giant Frontier Touring has revealed that his full Aussie touring schedule will be announced in a one-on-one interview between the former Beatle and musician and comedian Tim Minchin on Wednesday night, 21st June.

The interview will be broadcast live via McCartney’s Facebook page at 7:30pm AEST, and will see the muso reveal the dates, venues and details of his forthcoming tour.

Fans can also submit questions to the page in advance of the interview, and a selection of a those will be answered live by McCartney tomorrow night.

McCartney hasn’t played down under in over two decades, since 1993’s ‘The New World Tour’. He was scheduled to perform down under in 2002, but cancelled the tour following the Bali bombings.
