A performance by two of pop’s most acclaimed eccentrics, Janelle Monae and Kimbra, scheduled for Perth’s Challenge Stadium on Friday, 16th May will not go ahead. On their website, promoter Live Nation stated that a rescheduling will not be possible due to the pair’s tight tour schedule.
According to Live Nation, Ticketmaster will contact ticket-holders via email to advise of the show cancellation and refund process. All ticket holders are able to obtain a full refund from the point of purchase, with bookings made online or by phone via credit card automatically refunded.
Meanwhile, the pair have good news for Sydney and Melbourne fans, announcing the addition of a second Melbourne show for Saturday, 17th May at The Forum — tix on sale Wednesday, 7th May — and a change of venue for the Sydney show, which will now be held at the Opera House and not the Horden Pavilion. New tickets will be emailed to all patrons who provided an address when booking.
