Jimmy Eat World Return With Angsty New Single ‘Get Right’, Tease New Album Plans

The greatest non-emo emo band of all time, Jimmy Eat World , are Back. In. Bloody. Action.

The Arizonan alt-rockers have returned with their first new single in three years, dubbed Get Right, which premiered on BBC’s Radio 1 Rock Show overnight.

The brooding jam (below) is packing a stomping beat, menacing guitar riff and soaring chorus for an altogether heavier, more moody sound reminiscent of their Bleed American/Futures era.

As Noisey reports, during the grand unveiling on BBC radio, frontman Jim Adkins also revealed that the track will feature on the band’s forthcoming ninth studio album, however he didn’t divulge a title or release date. A full announcement is tipped soon, though.

The singer also added that Jimmy Eat World are “looking forward to an extensive international tour” in support of the new record, so hopefully that means a visit to Australia is on the cards in the not-too-distant future!

In the meantime, you can stream Get Right below, or else download it for free on the band’s website until September 6th.
