Late Motörhead Drummer Philthy Animal Taylor’s Random Personal Items Are Being Auctioned Off

Don’t know what to get for the Motörhead fan who has everything?

How about some of late drummer Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor‘s random personal effects, which are now being auctioned off online?

The beatman passed away from liver failure last year at the age of 61 – only about a month before Lemmy followed suit – and now it appears that whomever inherited his estate has put a stack of his old personal belongings under the hammer at The Saleroom to make a quick buck share a piece of Phil’s life with bereaved Motörhead fans everywhere.

The list of items on offer ranges from the mundane to the awesome to the truly bizarre.

There’s drumsticks, old Motörhead photos and memorabilia including concert setlists, old flight cases, a set of bongo drums, a conga set, plus Philthy’s old Yamaha and DW drumkits and even a freakin’ Roland electronic kit.

Or, if you’re a weird like that, you can get your hands on two separate police documents from Philthy’s arrests in the ’70s, which related to “cannabis possession’ and “driving an unroadworthy vehicle” #badass.

While it all seems a bit morbid, and maybe it is, many of the 76 separate lots listed can be considered genuine collector’s items for Motörhead diehards.

I mean, it’s not like they’re hocking his old fingernail clippings or anything.

Taylor played in the band from 1975 to 1984 and again from 1987 to 1992, appearing on their debut album On Parole and a further ten records.

Check out some of his old personal items up for grabs in the gallery below and see the full list here.
