There’s been a lot of Oasis chatter going on lately.
The announcement of a “biblical” new documentary about the band’s rise in the early 90’s has triggered an outbreak of nostalgia for the beloved Brit rockers, but between Noel Gallagher doubling his asking price for a reunion and Liam slinging random potato-based insults at him like lawn darts, it seems unlikely that the band will be getting back together anytime soon.
However, the younger Gallagher bro has just taken to Twitter to inform fans that he actually really wants an Oasis reunion to happen, and the only thing standing in the way is a certain potato:

That “new sounds on the way” quip makes it sound a whole lot like Liam’s working on some new music.
He also tweeted: “It’s official, R&R is back,” to which ex-Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs posted a fist-pump emoji.
Some fans have taken this as a strong hint that an Oasis reunion could actually be on the cards, while others have interpreted it as some other kind of Bonehead/Liam musical collab.

It’s all very cryptic. We don’t yet know if Liam’s gone and formed himself a new band following the 2014 break-up of Beady Eye, or else if he’s planning on releasing some kind of solo material. But the latter option, at least, seems pretty unlikely – considering the fact that Liam’s previously vowed to never release a solo album because “I’m not a cunt”.
His latest Twitter sesh also marks his calling Noel a “potato” for the third time in about as many weeks.
Noel recently responded to the first potato incident, but has so far yet to weigh in on Liam’s latest rant.
