Loon Lake’s debut album Gloamer is clearly a doozy. So much so that the band literally cannot wait until the Friday, 11th October release date for fans to hear it. This puts the band in a sticky situation. The only option? Release a track every week, until the official street date arrives.
The first of these tracks will be It Was Only Love. The funky jam represents a mellower side of the album, sustained by a chilled groove, minimal guitar and driven by a vocal narrative. The ode to young love comes hot on the heels of Carolina, the second track to be released off of Gloamer, after the lead single, On Fire.
The unreleased tracks will be “leaked” via the band’s website, where they will stream for just 24 hours following the 12pm release time. Loon Lake broke the news last month and backed it up with the announcement of a headlining tour. The band will be stopping in most major cities, with the new material in tow.
