Legendary Canadian thrashers Anvil are set to hammer Aussies with metal before the year is out, today announcing that they are bringing their 40th birthday celebrations to Australia in November for five shows across the country.
Metal’s perennial underdogs — currently featuring original members Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow and Robb ‘Robbo’ Reiner with bassist Chris Robertson — will hit venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, delivering a setlist of fan faves from across their whopping 16-album catalogue (and they have a 17th called Pounding the Pavement on the way!).
Anvil have of course toured the globe since their epic resurgence off the back of the breakthrough 2009 metal doco The Story Of Anvil. The band last toured Australia in 2014 and dropped their latest album Anvil Is Anvil last year.
