Metro Theatre prepares for monster invasion: Halloween 2010

This Saturday, October 30 will see Sydney’s most iconic local venue, The Metro transform into a make-shift bat cave to play host to the Halloween Monster Mash, a celebration of all that is ghouly and great.

Dressing in their scariest swagger and opening each set with a freakish cover of favourite deceased artists will be ARIA-nominated, jet-setting indie-rockers Dappled Cities, proclaimed unhinged pop-genius SPOD, Queensland wunderkinds Last Dinosaurs, local darlings The Laurels, Guineafowl, Magnetic Heads and up-and-comers Fishing whilst Whothehell DJ’s suck patrons dry for the remainder of the evening. Assuming they make it out alive.

An army of fire breathers, giant spiders, stand-up comics and Burlesque dancers will take over The Lair, amidst apple bobbers and even a human vending machine.  Try not to scream as you witness the blood-curdling transformation of The Metro into a Halloween crazed spectacle, not to mention the opportunity to come dressed up as the scariest fiend of the night – ghosts, Satan, witches or Lindsay Lohan.
