Mindless Self Indulgence To Jack White – “Just Admit You Ripped Us Off”

Mindless Self Indulgence frontman Jimmy Urine has lived up to his band’s name, deliveringa mindless, self-indulgent onstage rant wherein Urine accused Jack White of ripping off MSI when creating last year’s Grammy-nominated solo album Blunderbuss.

As witnessed in the below video posted on YouTube, Urine’s comments flowed freely during a gig at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona on 29th March. In what seems to be a rehearsed diatribe, Urine demands White admits to stealing his current sound from his New York electronic rock band:

“Hey Jack, how’s the new record that sounds just like me? Hope you’re enjoying that Grammy you didn’t win. You ripped off the wrong motherfucker if you want to win a Grammy. Hey Jack, we don’t mind if you ripped us off — just say that you ripped us off.”

Urine also sends Jack a message that he should reunite with Meg White and reform The White Stripes before reiterating that Jack needs to fess up to theft and stealing ideas from his band:

“Listen to me, Jack: One – you have to get back together with Meg and start The White Stripes again, and two – you need to learn to stop giving a shit and love Mindless Self Indulgence, bitch. I don’t care if you ripped us off — just admit it. And scene.”

Jack White is yet to respond to Urine’s onstage comments – perhaps he’s too busy shining up all the Grammy Awards he won previously.
