Morrissey’s 2016 Tour Rider Has Allegedly Leaked, And It’s Very Morrissey

Morrissey‘s 2016 tour rider has allegedly leaked, and as you’d probably expect, it’s pretty much just full of veggies and tea.

Someone on Morrissey fan site Morrissey Solo allegedly obtained the document (below), detailing the rider for one of Morrissey’s recent shows, and it couldn’t be more reasonable compared to some superstar riders that have leaked in the past.

While Mariah Carey’s requests have in the past supposedly included requests for 20 white kittens and 100 doves, Morrissey’s craziest request centres around his no-meat policy.

Morrissey’s rider insists that meat is not served in the venues that he plays in, and it also directs security to treat meat as a “prohibited item”, meaning punters can’t even BYO.

At big festivals where meat is being cooked, Morrissey requests that his “dressing rooms are situated away from any meat preparation and downwind, to avoid the aroma of cooking meat is not directed toward Artist or Band”.

At Chicago’s RIOTFEST over the weekend, however, meat was not served between the hours of 8 and 10pm while he was performing and he apparently also requested that all trashcans be emptied so there were no traces of meat.

Apart from that, it seems Moz’s rider would be pretty easy to facilitate. He just wants veggies, tea, orange marmalade, salted cashews or peanuts and a few other groceries. It’s basically your weekly shopping list minus the meat.

Morrissey will be in the country next month to play a number of shows and he’s purposely snubbed meat-friendly venues.
