Mötley Crüe Announce Australian Tour Dates With Alice Cooper

After weeks of speculation, tour dates for the Australian leg of Mötley Crüe‘s last-ever world tour – The Final Tour – have now been confirmed. The band’s arena shows will each see a support set from iconic hard rocker Alice Cooper.

Australian fans will have the chance to see Mötley Crüe perform their final ever shows in Australia during headline dates this May in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The announced dates matching up perfectly with yesterday’s leaked tour schedule.

In a move which is sure to excite fans, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee is set to bring his Cruecifly coaster – the 360-degree drum kit roller coaster which sees him levitate, flip and hover – to Australian shores during the tour.

Bassist Nikki Sixx says of the band’s visit, “We can’t wait to celebrate 34 years of Mötley Crüe with our Australian fans and come over there one last time. We always have an amazing time in Australia and we’re not holding back either… we are bringing along our full production including the Crüecifly drum coaster, as well as the pyro and every other bell and whistle.”

Mötley Crüe last toured Australia in early 2013, with KISS and Thin Lizzy, and released their latest studio album, Saints of Los Angeles, in 2008. Alice Cooper was last on Aussie shores back in 2011.

Last month, Mötley Crüe confirmed plans to bring The Final Tour down under during the American spring, and also shared their final single, All Bad Things (below).

Following its Australian dates, The Final Tour will make its way through Canada, Mexico and North America, concluding in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles on 31st December. The band will legally part ways following the tour.
