Oh, my lord, it’s like one big stadium rock wet dream – Muse, arguably the biggest band in the world, are teaming up with Birds Of Tokyo, arguably the finest purveyors of Australian rock, to tour Australia and its finest arenas this November and December.
Off the back of their sixth studio album The 2nd Law, Muse have been foraying into experimental instrumentation, with a live show that Q Magazine called “the greatest show on earth”. The production includes 140 crew members, 26 equipment trucks, bomb-sized pyrotechnics and a 333kg robot named Charles (just don’t call him Chuckie – it makes him angry).
Birds Of Tokyo are at the peak of their game, having just scored their first number one record with their latest release, March Fires, and its killer triple platinum single Lanterns has earned itself the honour of being the most played song on Australian radio for the first 6 months of 2013.
Together they’ll be taking their all-ages show and hitting the major stops around the country to let you know exactly how their songs are meant to sound live. Tickets go on sale from 12:00pm AEST on Monday, 29th July, with a Frontier members presale happening here from 3:00pm AEST Wednesday, 24th July to 3:00pm AEST Thursday, 25th July.
