Neil Finn & His Son Liam Have Announced Their Very First Album Together

The First Family of Kiwi songwriting, the Finns, are adding a new project to their catalogue, with Crowded House frontman Neil Finn teaming up with his son Liam Finn on their very first album together, dubbed Lightsleeper.

Recorded mainly in Neil Finn’s studio in Auckland, Lightsleeper also features contributions from Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood and other members of the Finn family.

Neil’s wife (and Liam’s mother) Sharon Finn plays bass on two songs, while Liam’s brother Elroy Finn performs drums on seven tracks. Eccentric Kiwi singer-songwriter Connan Mockasin also appears on four songs, while Greek musicians Elias Dendias and Spiros Anemogianis play bouzouki and accordion waltzing lead single called ‘Back To Life’, which you can stream below.

The album is set for release on Friday, 24th August. Check out the artwork and full tracklist, below.

In other Finn-related news, Neil Finn recently joined Fleetwood Mac’s new lineup, and said his spot in the band is “not at all” temporary.
