Neil Young Has Lost His Home To The California Wildfires

The wildfires in California continue to rage on, and turns out that a bunch of musicians and celebrities have been evacuated and, in the case of Neil Young, have lost their home.

In a statement posted to his website earlier today, where, in part of a much bigger message to the Trump administration about climate change, Young revealed that he has lost his home to fires for a second time.

“Firefighters have never seen anything like this in their lives,” the statement read. “I have heard that said countless times in the past two days, and I have lost my home before to a California fire, now another.”

“Hopefully we can come together as a people to take Climate Change on. We have the tools and could do it if we tried. There is no downside.”

“Imagine a leader who defies science, saying these solutions shouldn’t be part of his decision-making on our behalf,” the statement concluded. “Imagine a leader who cares more for his own, convenient opinion than he does for the people he leads. Imagine an unfit leader. Now imagine a fit one.”

The wildfires have devastated areas across the state of California, leaving at least 29 people dead at the time of writing. It has destroyed over 6,700 structures and 250,000 people have been ordered to evacuate. It’s the worst fire in the state’s history.
