New Found Glory Announce Departure Of Steve Klein

Floridian pop-punk unit New Found Glory have announced the departure of guitarist and founding member Steve Klein, taking to their Facebook page to break the news to fans, citing “differences…over the years” as motivating the split. The band were recently in the country for Warped Tour.

“It is with heavy hearts that we must let you know that Steve Klein is no longer a part of New Found Glory,” opens a missive addressed “To All Our Fans.” The band explain that, “personal differences have guided this decision and we no longer feel we can work with [Klein].”

The band then reassure fans that “New Found Glory will still go on!” and that following the Paramore Parahoy Cruise event, the band are planning on writing a new record and “start[ing] this new chapter for our band,” having previously told Music Feeds about plans to record some time in 2014.

“We have not decided on who will fill Steve’s position,” the band write, “however we will let you know our plans as soon as we figure that out.” The band then conclude, “We love you, our fans, so much and appreciate your dedication and loyalty to our band.” See the full dispatch, below.

To All Our Fans,

It is with heavy hearts that we must let you know that Steve Klein is no longer a part of New Found Glory. We’ve had our differences with Steve over the years that have led us to this decision. We love Steve however personal differences have guided this decision and we no longer feel we can work with him. Rest assured that New Found Glory will still go on! After the Parahoy Cruise we are planning to write a new record and start this new chapter for our band.
