One cluey King Gizzard fan has also noticed that running the band’s recent teaser video through Shazam confirms that the song used in the clip is called ‘A New World’, which appears on an album called Murder Of The Universe that’s set for release this year.

Music Feeds has contacted King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s record label Flightless for comment.

Murder Of The Universe was first teased back in February, when King Gizz released their latest album Flying Microtonal Banana and ON THE SAME FRICKIN’ DAY teased a new album with that mysterious video we mentioned, which was titled ‘MURDER OF THE UNIVERSE’.

Since then, the band have performed at least two new songs live, which appear to be titled ‘All Is Known’ and ‘Vomit Comet/Coffin’. It’s still unclear if those songs will appear on Murder Of The Universe.

The ever-prolific King Gizz have promised to release at least four studio albums this year, so they won’t be slowing down anytime soon. They’ll also perform at Splendour In The Grass this July, so they’ll probably have a stack of new material to show off.
