Nine Inch Nails Drop Dark & Dancey New Track ‘Less Than’ From New EP ‘Add Violence’

Happy Friday, Nine Inch Nail-philes! Trent Reznor and co. have made the sweetest day of the working week even sweeter by unleashing a toe-tapping new tune dubbed ‘Less Than’ off their freshly announced EP Add Violence, which just-so-happens to be out next week.

The five-tracker forms the second instalment of a trio of new EPs that the band have promised to serve up before year’s end, and they’re spruiking this one as being darker than December’s Not The Actual Events.

“The sonic palette expands significantly from Not the Actual Events, incorporating elements of beauty into the dark dissonance,” a press release reads (via Consequence Of Sound).

“The narrative arc linking the three records begins to emerge through the disassociated lyrics and the provocative and clue-filed cover artwork and accompanying physical component.”

Our first preview of Add Violence comes in the form of the EP’s opening track, ‘Less Than’, a dark and dancey up-tempo number with ’80s-inspired synths and a melody that’s packing a bit of a goth INXS vibe.

You can wrap your ears around it below, and stay tuned for the rest of the EP dropping on 21st July.
