Northlane Share Audition Videos Of Shortlisted Vocalist Candidates

Sydney metalcore favourites Northlane have taken to their official Facebook page to unveil the candidates shortlisted to be their new vocalist, following the recent departure of the band’s former singer Adrian Fitipaldes.

Earlier this month the Blacktown outfit announced that Fitipaldes would be leaving the group due to stress and ill-health. Fitipaldes later released his own statement, confirming that his exit from the group was caused by “severe vocal issues” that he’d been experiencing for most of his time with Northlane.

The band assured fans that they still intend on releasing a new single by the end of the year and said they were currently accepting submissions for a new vocalist. Now they have taken that a step further, unveiling the audition videos of the shortlisted candidates and asking fans for their thoughts.

“We have listened to everything that has been sent in and there is a ridiculous amount of talented people out there,” write the band. “Many of the people we are talking to have received great feedback from our fans, and some have kept their auditions private for the moment. But we are very confident that within the group of people we have contacted we have the person we will be working with.”

According to the Facebook post, candidates include vocalist Cade Armstrong, musician Aeden Cooper, vocalist and drummer Tim Westwood and singer Hunter Young. Watch their auditions and check out the ten others via the links on Northlane’s Facebook page.

“Once again, thanks to everyone for all their support,” write the band. “Your positive energy and feedback has turned a potentially scary time into a lot of inspiration and excitement. We won’t let you down.”
