Ozzy Osbourne Now Says He Won’t Stop Touring, Despite Previously Announcing “Final” World Tour

Ozzy Osbourne has bamboozled us all with his recent “final” world tour announcement.

The forefather of heavy metal is currently getting round on his No More Tours 2 global trek, which will see him head to Australia in March of next year to headline Download Festival 2019.

ThePrince Of Darkness previously said the tour would be his “final world tour”, but now he’s clarifying that doesn’t mean he’s retiring from solo touring entirely.

“People have gotten that all wrong,” he told Pasadena Star-News. “The tour should have been the Ozzy Osbourne ‘Slowing Down Tour’.”

“What I’m actually doing is not going out on January 1 and coming back on December 31. I’ll still tour, but not as extensively like I have been for the last 50 years,” he continued.

“I mean, I have grandchildren now and I’m 70 years old and I don’t want to be found dead in a hotel room somewhere. I’m going to do it at a more leisurely pace and do some shows in Vegas … but I’ll never stop.”

He added: “The whole lifestyle I have lived, it has all come down to the fact that there are people who want to hear me and as long as they want to hear me, I’m there.”

It comes after Ozzy was hospitalised with a potentially deadly staph infection, which led him to postpone four shows of his US tour.

Hopefully he should be fine come March, when he heads to our shores for Download Fest!
