Tasmania’s boutique PANAMA Festival has unveiled its second lineup of acts making their way to the 2015 event, including illustrious homegrown artists like Melbourne’s Courtney Barnett, Tom Iansek’s #1 Dads, psych pop outfit The John Steel Singers and folk singer Darren Hanlon.
Also announced for PANAMA 2015 are blues rockers The Furrs, Melbourne-based musician and composer Grand Salvo plus Oscar Lush, Jed Appleton, Panama’s jazz band The Melatonins and Tiger Lil’s Sideshow Cabaret who will take to the Bedouin Club stage each night of the festival “to present an hour of death-defying cabaret.”
They’ll join a lineup which already includes the likes of psych guitarist Bombino, American singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten, Melbourne soul outfit The Cactus Channel and Aussie all-rounder Ben Salter.
Set amongst a cider brewery in Panama Forest in north-east Tasmania, the boutique festival will take place on 7th and 8th March 2015 and will again be limited to 1000 tickets. Organisers this year have added the option of purchasing an early arrival ticket for Friday March 6th, giving punters the chance to set up camp and be ready for the festival on Saturday.
While acts on the main stage won’t kick off until Saturday there will be a pre-party held at the Bedouin Club with some special guest mystery bands and DJs. Tickets to PANAMA go on sale Monday, 1st December. See the updated lineup below.
