Periphery, Crossfaith Announce Melbourne And Sydney Sidewaves

Periphery have now announced their long-awaited Soundwave 2013 headlining performances. The Djent gods will be playing in both Sydney and Melbourne, bringing with them Japanese metalcore weapons Crossfaith.

In just 2 albums time (well, 2.5) Periphery have risen the ranks of the metal world at a meteoric rate. With the band’s latest release Periphery II, they progressed even further with the Djent genre than we’ve ever really seen. The band is now well regarded as one of the most technically proficient bands around, with a team of shred-tacular guitarists and a drummer who follows no one else’s rules.

Since they broke into the scene back in 2009, Crossfaith have been poster boys for the ever growing Japanese metalcore movement. The group’s latest release, Zion EP, lent credibility to this title, whilst proving to the world the band’s status of an unstoppable force.

The two bands will be joining forces for the below dates.
