PREMIERE: Boy & Bear’s Wacky ‘Walk The Wire’ Music Video

Bracing for the release of their third studio album, Limit Of Love, Sydney indie rockers Boy & Bear have gifted Music Feeds with the global premiere of their super-wacky music video for the album’s lead single, Walk The Wire.

Boy & Bear’s ever-so-slightly NSFW and oh-so-very meta clip for Walk The Wire sees the band working with a mean video director and a green screen to ultimate create something which is, um, pretty out there.

Let’s put it this way — after all the technological trickery, on-set accidents and weird avatars, the Walk The Wire clip really makes you wonder what it would be like if the members of Boy & Bear were all replaced by holograms.

Boy & Bear vocalist David Hosking says the track’s video mirrors the song’s overall vibe. “It is quite a lighthearted track for us, which has been fun,” Hosking says.

“It’s about the internal battle that happens when you’re summoning up the courage to approach someone you like, I guess the broader sentiment is ‘don’t die wondering’, you gotta put it on the line sometimes and go for it!”

Boy & Bear’s Walk The Wire video, directed by Darcy Prendergast and Josh Thomas from production company Oh Yeah Wow, was “a lot of fun to make” according to Hosking.

“The concept was simple: Start off on the moon of course. Then have [vocalist/guitarist] Killian [Gavin] explode, catch on fire and horrendously maimed, have Killian replaced by animated Killian who then turns evil and creepy, have us clearly unimpressed with things and then have the entire crew and clip descend into brilliant entertaining anarchy.”

Limit Of Love will be released on 9th October in digital, CD and limited edition vinyl formats. Catch Boy & Bear’s full Walk The Wire video in all its weirdness, below.
