Prince Is Throwing Australian Tour After-Parties, Is Taking Venue Suggestions

With Prince‘s Australian Piano & A Microphone tour now sold out, it appears The Purple One is planning a handful of after-parties for his stay down under later this month, and he’s already confirmed one major city which will be lucky enough to host some post-show vibes.

Posting to Twitter today, Prince (or maybe someone else who has his Twitter password) told fans…

…and fans, of course, responded with some top-notch suggestions (and a few strange ones):

Yesterday, Prince even tweeted this pretty shot of the Melbourne skyline, so it’s pretty clear he already has a favourite Aussie city:

Prince is yet to confirm the location of his Melbourne after-party and hasn’t said if he’ll be hosting one in Sydney, but we’d be very surprised if Sydneysiders missed out. It’s also unclear if Prince will request that Finding Nemo be played during any of the after-parties, but it wouldn’t surprise us much if he does.

During his previous Australian tour in 2012, Prince performed for after-party crowds at Sydney’s Ivy Nightclub, Melbourne’s The Hi-Fi and Brisbane’s The Hi-Fi.

Music Feeds has been told by Prince’s Australian tour promoter Kerry O’Brien that no further Aussie shows are to be announced for the Piano & A Microphone tour. After the had tour sold out, Prince posted some now-deleted tweets slamming ticket scalpers and setting some ground rules for his Aussie shows.

Demand for tickets to Prince’s latest run of Australian dates was immense, with thousands of fans slamming ticket-sellers Ticketek and Ticketmaster after missing out on tickets.

Prince’s Australian Piano & A Microphone tour is set to kick off with four shows in Melbourne beginning 16th February, before heading to Sydney. Catch all the tour dates below as we stand by for more juicy after-party details.
