According to a recent list published by Discogs and their Top 100 list of the most expensive records sold, the Black Album by Prince sits royally at the top.

The list has taken into consideration the records sold on the US-based online marketplace since launching in 2005, and ranges from US$2,247 and US$15,000. Elsewhere in the list you’ll find classic records from the likes of Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, The Flaming Lips and Bruce Springsteen – check the full 100 out here.

Prince’s Black Album, his 16th release, came out in 1994 and quickly became dubbed The Funk Bible. In 2016, it went for $15,000. Huge.
