Prince’s Memoir To Be Released This October

Almost three years after the music legend’s passing, the unfinished memoir of Prince, titled The Beautiful Ones, will finally be released this October.

According to Guardian, the memoir’s publisher, Random House, confirmed to Associated Press that it will indeed be released this October. It reportedly chronicles everything, and we mean everything, about the legend’s life starting with his very first memory.

He had actually initially announced the memoir just weeks prior to his death, and had given an audience in New York City some details about what it will contain.

“This is my first [book],” he had said.

“My brother Dan is helping me with it. He’s a good critic and that’s what I need. He’s not a ‘yes’ man at all and he’s really helping me get through this. We’re starting from the beginning from my first memory and hopefully we can go all the way up to the Super Bowl.”

It will also reportedly feature an introduction written by Dan Piepenbring that will chronicle Prince’s final days. Piepenbring was chosen as a collaborator for the memoir by Prince himself.

Editor Chris Jackson said that the memoir is “a beautiful tribute to his life.”

“It’s a treasure not just for Prince fans but for anyone who wants to see one of our greatest creative artists and original minds at work on his greatest creation: himself.”
